Climatic phenomena of solar terms in autumn equinox
Three stages of the autumnal equinox
In ancient China, the autumnal equinox was divided into three stages:
Wait for the thunder to stop. The ancients thought that it thundered because the yang was strong and the yin began to flourish after the autumnal equinox, so it stopped thundering.
Second, wait for the empty-shell households of stinging insects. "Blank" means fine soil, that is, because of the cold weather, secluded small insects began to hide in caves and sealed the hole with fine soil to prevent the cold from invading.
Wait for the water to dry. Note in the Book of Rites: "Water is made of qi." Spring and summer are coming, so it is long, and autumn and winter are coming, so it is dry.
