Because it is the mature period of plums in Jiangnan, it is called "Meiyu", and this period is called Meiyu season.

According to the definition of meteorology, if there are four rainy days in five consecutive days, and the average daily temperature reaches 22℃ in three of these five days, it can be judged as "entering Mei". Normal Meiyu in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River begins in mid-June and ends in mid-July, which is in the two solar terms of "ear seed" and "summer solstice". Meiyu period is about 20-30 days, and the rainfall is between 200-400 mm.
