Where is the Citroen DS6 intake pressure solenoid valve?
VVT regulating valve is located on the upper side of valve cover, with an intake camshaft regulating valve and an exhaust camshaft regulating valve. These two regulating valves change the valve timing by adjusting the oil pressure. When the solenoid valve is connected to the high level, the electromagnet of the solenoid valve is attracted to open the two-position bidirectional positioner and lubricate all parts of the machine tool. At low level, the electromagnetic power-off potentiometer is turned off.
There is a closed cavity in the solenoid valve, and there are through holes in different positions. Each hole is connected with a different oil pipe. There is a piston in the middle of the cavity and two electromagnets on both sides. When the electromagnetic coil on which side is energized, the valve body will be attracted to which side. By controlling the movement of the valve body, different oil discharge holes will be opened or closed, while the oil inlet hole is always open. Hydraulic oil will enter different oil discharge pipes, and then the piston of the oil cylinder is pushed by the oil pressure, which in turn drives the piston rod, which drives the mechanical device.
