Will Christmas replace the Spring Festival?

In China, Christmas attracts more and more attention every year. Christmas cards are popular with students. People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas presents. Many TV and radio programs about Christmas are playing. At the same time, the Spring Festival is not so attractive to young people. Therefore, some people want to know whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival.

Why? One reason is that Christmas only affects Christians, college students and workers in joint ventures. Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities. Few people in the countryside show great interest in this exotic festival. In contrast, the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival for every family.

I think it is natural that many western festivals are gradually introduced to China with the increase of communication with the West. For us in China, we should not neglect or even abandon our own traditional festivals. For centuries, people in China have been celebrating this traditional festival to welcome the beginning of the new year. We will cherish the Spring Festival forever.
