What does the intake manifold mean?

The intake manifold refers to the gasoline engine with carburetor or throttle body, and the intake manifold refers to the intake pipe from the carburetor or throttle body to the intake port of the cylinder head. The mixture is distributed to the air intake of each cylinder through the carburetor or throttle body. The intake manifold must distribute air, fuel mixture or clean air to each cylinder as evenly as possible, so the lengths of gas passages in the intake manifold should be as equal as possible. In order to reduce airflow resistance and improve intake capacity, the inner wall of intake manifold should be as smooth as possible.
