How to replace atsl air conditioning filter element

Generally speaking, the air-conditioning filter element of Cadillac ATS-L of Pacific Auto Network is replaced every 10000- 15000 km, or once a year, usually after the Spring Festival. Because the air-conditioning filter element is frequently used in winter and summer, there is no need to worry about pollen or catkins in the car when turning on the air conditioner. So how to replace the air conditioning filter of ATS-L air conditioner?

1. To open the engine compartment cover, please confirm the position of the air filter. The air filter is generally located on the left side of the engine compartment, that is, above the left front wheel. You can see a square plastic black box with a filter inside. We only need to gently lift the four metal clips upwards to lift the entire air cleaner upper cover. At this time, it is necessary to select a suitable screwdriver to unscrew the screw on the air cleaner box and take out the air cleaner.

2. Take out the filter element. After taking out the soundproof cotton, put your hand in and take out the baffle, then put it in and take out the air conditioning filter. It should be noted that there is an arrow on the outside of the filter element to avoid reverse installation. Check whether there is too much dust. You can tap the end face of the filter element gently, or use compressed air to clean the dust on the filter element from the inside out. Don't rinse with tap water. If the air filter is seriously blocked, it needs to be replaced with a new filter. We can buy the same model in 4S stores or auto parts cities.

3. After the air filter element is treated, the air filter box needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Generally, a lot of dust will accumulate under the air filter, which is the chief culprit leading to the decline of engine power.
