When is Global-Power Saving Day?
"Earth Hour" is a global energy-saving activity proposed by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to cope with global climate change. Advocate at 20: 30pm local time on the last Saturday of March every year (20: 30pm Earth Hour time in 2020).
Home and business users turn off unnecessary lights and power-consuming products for one hour to show their support for climate change action. Climate change caused by excessive carbon dioxide emissions has greatly threatened human survival on the earth. Therefore, only by changing the global public's attitude towards carbon dioxide emissions can the public reduce the impact of this threat on the world.
The origin of activity
Earth Hour, also known as "Turn off the lights for one hour", is an initiative launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature in 2007. Call on individuals, communities, enterprises and governments to turn off their lights for one hour at 20:30-2 1:30 on the last Saturday of March every year to arouse people's sense of responsibility to protect the earth.
In addition to thinking about environmental issues such as climate change, it also shows support for global action to deal with climate warming. This is a global activity. After WWF was first advocated in Sydney in 2007, it swept the world at an alarming rate, and everyone came to participate in this activity.
