What is the average temperature in Italy all year round?
The average annual temperature in Italy is about 7 degrees Celsius. Most of Italy has a subtropical Mediterranean climate. According to the different topography and geographical location of Italy, the whole country is divided into the following three climate zones: southern peninsula and island zone, Bataan plain zone and Alps zone. The climate in these three areas has different characteristics:
1. The southern peninsula and islands have a typical Mediterranean climate, with the Atlantic air mass dominating, tropical air mass in summer and temperate air mass in winter.
2. Bataan Plain belongs to the transitional climate between subtropical zone and temperate zone, with the characteristics of continental climate, low pressure and humid climate. In Milan and Bologna, it is often foggy in winter, and sometimes it snows. Bataan Plain is hot in summer and cold in winter.
