What's the difference between light snow and heavy snow in the 24 solar terms and weather forecast?

The light snow in the 24 solar terms is different from the weather forecast.

For example, "light snow" entered the solar term, and the northwest wind began to become a frequent visitor in most areas centered on the Yellow River Basin. The temperature drops, gradually falling below 0℃, but the earth is not too cold. Although it began to snow, the amount of snow was not large, so it was called light snow.

"Heavy snow" means that the weather is colder and the possibility of snowfall is greater than that of light snow. It doesn't mean that there must be a lot of snowfall.
