What do you mean shocked?
Sting is one of the twenty-four solar terms, and it is the solar term of spring.
Scared sting, called Tanabata in ancient times, is the third of the 24 solar terms, marking the beginning of the mid-spring season. In the past, animals hid in the soil in winter and didn't drink or eat, which was called "sting". In the sting festival, the spring thunder in the sky awakens the secluded animals, which is called "shock". So insects wake up, the weather gets warmer and there are spring thunder, and most parts of China enter the spring ploughing season.
