Is Volkswagen's TSI the same as Audi's TFSI?
Advantages of TSI engine: small power loss, and high power can be obtained under the condition of small displacement. Disadvantages of TSI engine: Compared with FSI engine, TSI engine lacks stratified combustion function and its technical content is much lower.
TSI stands for Twincharged stratified injection, where T stands for double intake, S stands for stratified injection and I stands for injection. TSI is more advanced than FSI, and it is an engine with high power, low speed and high torque.
Strictly speaking, TSI technology is a comprehensive application of dual-pressurization layered direct injection technology with high technical requirements. The TSI technology adopted by Volkswagen in domestic middle and low-grade production vehicles is actually stratified injection of turbocharged fuel, which is equivalent to TFSI, not Twinscharger fuel stratified injection.
