The custom of rain and solar terms
Go back to my parents' home, bump into posts, get birthdays, pull insurance, occupy beige, and make up for the sky.
It is a popular custom to go back to one's mother's family during the rainy festival in western Sichuan. On the rainy day, the married daughter went back to visit her parents with gifts.
In western Sichuan, the Rain Festival is an imaginative and human solar term. Whether it rains or not, this day is full of misty poetry: at dawn in the morning, there are some young women on the foggy roadside, holding their young sons or daughters, waiting for the first passerby. Once someone passes by, men, women and children should stop each other and let their sons or daughters be their adopted sons or daughters. This is called "occasional worship" among the people in western Sichuan.
