The Olympic Games are held every four years in different cities in the world. Athletes from different countries compete in various sports, which are divided into winter and summer competitions.

The Olympic Games began in Greece more than 2,700 years ago. The first recorded Olympic Games was held in an outdoor stadium in 776 BC, and about 40,000 people watched it. The original 13 Olympic Games had only one competition. For about 1 200 years, the Olympic Games have been held regularly. Then, in 397, the Olympic Games were banned by the Roman emperor.

It was not until 1896 that the first modern Olympic Games was held in Athens. Since then, the sports meeting has been held regularly every four years. The Olympic Games has become the most important sports event in the world and a symbol of sports friendship among people all over the world.
