How do Mohawk people celebrate Strawberry Festival?

At the end of May or the beginning of June, when small strawberries just grow, Mohawk people will hold a strawberry festival. The appearance of small strawberries indicates that summer is coming. In the past, Mohawk people would pick these sweet little fruits to eat. They weave strawberry-shaped baskets, dye them red, and add green lids. Like non-natives, modern Mohawks still like to eat strawberries. Many Mohawk territories and surrounding towns will hold this festival originated from Mohawk tradition.
