Who invented jiaozi?
Jiaozi has a long history of development. Because there is a high similarity between jiaozi and wonton, the earliest wonton appeared in the Three Kingdoms period.
But it was called Wonton for short in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, renamed jiaozi in the Song Dynasty, and evolved into what we call jiaozi in the Qing Dynasty.
The next story is not a fairy tale, but true. According to legend, at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Zhongjing, as a medical sage, served as a satrap in Changsha, specializing in removing some bad diseases for the people. When he returned to his hometown, he saw that some poor people's ears began to freeze in winter. He was very distressed and felt that he was an incompetent fairy.
