What about aphtha?
Improper brushing or eating prickly and hard food stimulates biting the oral mucosa; Dyspepsia, constipation, intestinal parasites; Lack of sleep, sudden changes in life patterns, mental stimulation, etc. Endocrine changes, such as female menstrual period.
After aphtha occurs, it usually takes about 7 ~ 10 days to heal itself. Therefore, after getting aphtha, it is mainly to relieve pain, shorten the illness time and prevent recurrence. Common analgesic methods: local application of lidocaine and tetracaine, or cauterization with 10% silver nitrate. Chinese patent medicine can be applied to the ulcer surface with Bingpeng powder, Huangshu powder and Indigo powder. Oral administration of B vitamins can shorten the course of disease. For recurrent severe aphtha, oral prednisone 5mg or dexamethasone 0.75mg, 3 ~ 4 times a day.
In order to prevent the recurrence of aphthous ulcer, we should carefully find out the causes or pathogenesis of aphthous ulcer before each onset, and take preventive measures according to the causes.
