How to find the throttle?

First of all, find the position of the throttle, find the thickest hose in the engine, one end is connected to a square box, the air filter element and the other end is connected to the engine.

The throttle valve is just where the engine and hose are connected. You can see it after you remove the hose. The throttle of some cars is under the hood, and you can see it when you remove the cover.

After finding the throttle, there are two cleaning methods, one is to remove it, and the other is not to remove it.

How to clean the throttle without removing it?

Turn on the throttle and clean it with a cloth.

If your throttle looks like a thin layer of grease, you don't need to take it down and wash it. Just wipe it with a cloth.

Power on the car before wiping, but don't ignite it. Put something on the throttle and it will open.

This can clean the front and rear of the throttle at the same time. Just spray some accelerator cleaner on the cloth to clean the inside of the accelerator. You can buy detergent online, and a bottle is not expensive.

Special throttle cleaner must be used.

Some friends may use carburetor cleaner or WD40 instead of throttle cleaner, which is absolutely unacceptable.

But it will destroy this coating, but it will make the throttle more likely to accumulate carbon and grease, which is not cost-effective.

Don't forget to clean the air filter box.

Then clean it and clean the inside of the air filter box by the way. Is the air filter dirty? Conveniently change one, one.

You don't want to clean the bedroom at home. If you sweep the dirty things into the living room, you don't care, which is equivalent to washing them for nothing.

How to remove the throttle for cleaning?

If there is a thick layer of grease and carbon on your accelerator, you'd better take it off and clean it.

Remove the throttle valve with a hexagon screwdriver.

First, unplug the wiring harness plug next to the throttle, and unscrew the four fixing screws with T30 hexagon screwdriver.

If T30 screwdriver is not available, a screwdriver of appropriate size can also be used.

Cover the air intake to prevent debris from falling into the engine.

After the throttle valve is completely removed, cover it with a clean towel and air inlet to prevent sundries from falling into the engine.

After taking off the throttle, you can see that the front is clean, but there is still a thick layer of oil stain on the back. I suggest you take it off and clean it at this time.

Spray detergent on dirt.

Then, just spray the cleaning agent on the dirty place, because the surface of the throttle valve is coated with lubricant, and the dirt can be completely removed by direct spraying.

Try not to spray cleaning agent on the outside of the throttle, and don't break the throttle hard inside to avoid damaging the throttle motor next to it.

Don't wipe it with a rag, just dry it.

After washing, dry the throttle and put it back. Don't wipe it with a rag. This will also wipe off the lubricating coating on the surface.

Think of it as our current rice cooker with a non-stick coating. If you rub it with steel wool, there must be something wrong with it. Wipe gently and dry.

The throttle interface of the car has a sealing rubber ring, so just put it back. If not, it is best to apply a circle of glue to avoid air leakage. It's not expensive, and you can buy it online.

Throttle matching needs to be done again after modification.

After the throttle is put back, some cars may need to re-match the throttle, some restart after power failure, and some need to step on the throttle after ignition. Different cars have different ways.

How to change the transmission oil yourself?
