Cold start of methanol vehicle

At present, methanol vehicles mainly have the following problems:

1. It is difficult or even impossible to start a methanol car in cold weather and low temperature. Because the flash point of methanol is 1 1℃, it is difficult to start a car burning methanol when the engine temperature is lower than 1 1℃.

2. When methanol is electrified, it will cause electrolytic oxidation reaction of non-ferrous metals on the fuel pump, which will expand the non-metallic materials such as rubber and plastic in the fuel pump, thus greatly shortening the service life of the fuel pump and oil float and replacing them frequently.

3. Methanol has corrosive effect on ordinary gasoline filter element, which causes the viscose of gasoline filter element to melt and fall off, and the filter slurry becomes slurry, which makes the nozzle blocked.

The problem of methanol cold start is the most urgent problem to be solved for methanol vehicles at present. For the corrosion problem of fuel pump, the best solution at present is to replace the corrosion-resistant methanol pump, and there is no other better solution at present. Solutions to methanol cold start mainly include the following:

1. A simple cold start device is installed. The methanol cold starter is equipped with a gasoline pump, and the fuel used is gasoline. Install the cold starter as far away from the engine as possible, insert the capillary into the air inlet pipe at the front end of the throttle or the main air inlet pipe at the rear end of the throttle, and the anode and cathode of the cold starter are connected with the anode and cathode of the automobile starter respectively, and automatically inject gasoline into the air inlet pipe when taking a taxi to achieve the purpose of starting. The advantages are low cost and convenient and quick installation; The disadvantage is that the starting effect is not ideal when the weather temperature is too low.
