How do Vietnamese celebrate the Spring Festival?
The Vietnamese celebrate the Spring Festival because of the influence of China culture. In the history of China, north-central Vietnam has long been the territory of China, and Vietnam has been a vassal state of China for generations.
Extended data
Vietnam's new year's goods include zongzi, glutinous rice cakes, flowers, Spring Festival couplets, firecrackers and other items. Vietnamese New Year's Zongzi is the same as China's, but it is square and much bigger. Generally, it is 200 grams of glutinous rice, with 200 grams of pork and 150 grams of mung bean paste in the middle and banana leaves outside.
Vietnamese Spring Festival couplets used to be written in Chinese characters. Later, Chinese characters were pinyin, so Chinese characters were not used. Vietnamese also like to post the word "Fu" or some New Year pictures at home during the Spring Festival.
