What are the five elements of the twelve earthly branches?

The relationship between twelve branches and five elements is similar to that of heavenly stems.

In the first month and February of spring, Yin and Mao belong to the same tree in the five elements, because it is the season of oriental wind and wood.

April and afternoon are April and May in summer, just like the hot air season in the south, they belong to the same fire in the five elements.

"Shen" and "You" are July and August in autumn, which is the season of dry gold in the west, so Shen and You belong to gold in the five elements.

The months of Hai and Zi are October and November in winter, just as the cold water in the north is seasonal, so Hai and Zi belong to the same water in the five elements.

Chen, Wei, Xu and Chou are divided into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter, which are all caused by wet soil in mid-April, so Chen, Wei, Xu and Chou belong to the same soil. Specifically, in beginning of spring, Changsha, beginning of autumn and beginning of winter, the 18 days before the solar terms of beginning of spring, March (morning), summer, June (weekend), autumn, September (ugly) and winter are all the time for the central authorities to send the king.

Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai are the twelve branches of the five elements: Haizi belongs to water, wood, fire and gold, and Ugliness does not belong to soil.
