Li Xiaolin is from Taiyuan, Shanxi.
1980 enlisted, engaged in art creation in Beijing army artillery art creation group, 1983 studied in the printmaking department of Central Academy of Fine Arts, and became an art teacher of Shanxi Culture and Art School after changing jobs.
His works "Morning" and "Home" (cooperation) won the Excellent Creation Award of the 8th National Print Exhibition.

Currently, he is an associate professor of printmaking department of Central Academy of Fine Arts, a member of China Artists Association and a director of China Printmakers Association.
