The activity of "Citizen and City Flower" is one of the series activities of the first Xiamen Citizen Culture Festival, which will be held in Meihailing, Meiyuan Garden in Dongping Mountain, Xiamen. Hu Yuguang, a specially invited painter, was introduced to make an exhibition of "Twenty-four Solar Terms Works" in the park with the theme of "Flower Triangle Plum in Xiamen".
Hu Yuguang, member of Fujian Artists Association, member of Fujian Flower and Bird Painting Art Committee, painter of Xiamen People's Congress Painting Academy, and member of Xiamen Zhang Xiaohan Art Research Association.
His works are mainly egrets and bougainvillea. Skilled and meticulous, but also able to distinguish between levels, quite staring and echoing. In particular, Hu Yuguang's work "Egret of Bougainvillea bougainvillea in Twenty-four Solar Terms" closely combines "Xiamen Flower Market Bird" with "China Traditional Farming Solar Term Culture", which brings out the best in each other and is deeply loved by the public.
The "protagonists" of these paintings are all bougainvillea and egrets in Xiamen, but they are presented in different ways. In the background color, in order to show different solar terms and seasons, Hu Yuguang made different treatments in color, including blue white flowers, green red flowers, ink red flowers, gold white flowers, orange red flowers and yellow purple flowers. Bougainvillea is also rich in colors, including red, white, purple and pink.
The posture of flowers is mostly open, and there are occasional falling flowers. At the same time, in this series of works, because the frame is not large, each painting is equipped with an egret, and each egret reflects its different dynamics of moving or flying.
It is the first time in Xiamen that bougainvillea and egret are systematically used to express the 24 solar terms, which is rare in China.
Painter Hu Yuguang has lived in Xiamen for a long time. He has always been proud of "egrets and bougainvillea" and deeply loves this beautiful coastal city where bougainvillea blooms forever and egrets fly. Hu Yuguang stayed in Xiamen for a long time. With "Egret and Bougainvillea" as the theme clue, he outlined and described the different composition and dyeing of flowers and city birds in Xiamen, and even adopted his favorite "flower-and-bird" context in expression, expressing the 24 solar terms and "Egret and Bougainvillea" through the feeling of "flower-and-bird". The ingenious combination of the twenty-four solar terms with bougainvillea and egret opens a new perspective and gives new vitality.
During the Xiamen Citizen Culture Festival, the painter Hu Yuguang's "Twenty-four Paintings of Birds in the City Flower Market" will be placed on an easel and placed in the peripheral area of the "Meihailing" service point to get in close contact with the citizens. At the Meihailing observation deck, there will also be high-fidelity replicas of solar terms with the theme of "Twenty-four Birds in the Flower Market" to create a cultural and artistic atmosphere of the entire observation deck.
