② Before removing the air cleaner assembly, remove the hose connecting the throttle valve and the air cleaner element;

③ Remove the throttle cable, unscrew the fixing bolt, and then remove the throttle;

④ Use special cleaning agent or carburetor cleaning agent, spray it on the throttle, wait for the solvent to dissolve the carbon deposit, and dry it for 1-2 minutes.

The whole cleaning process needs to be disassembled, sprayed, brushed and assembled, which is troublesome to operate, but the cleaning effect is good. However, it should be noted that there is a dust-proof and antistatic paint on the surface of the throttle. If it is cleaned too often or used improperly, the coating will be lost, and the throttle will be dirtier in the future.

In addition, there is a cleaning method without disassembly. As long as the cleaning agent is sprayed into the throttle while the engine is rotating, it is not necessary to remove the throttle. The practice of many 4S shops and repair shops is to slam on the accelerator while spraying detergent on it. At this time, the car may emit white smoke. This is because the cleaned dirt is sucked into the cylinder and burned violently before being discharged. This kind of cleaning is more harmful to the car than the same period last year, and dismantling and cleaning is healthier for the car. It is recommended to do so.
