What does toothache mean?

Usually, the local god of wealth is the land god, so people believe that the land god can bless the prosperous business and the wedding as a cloud. Therefore, on the second and sixteenth day of each month in the lunar calendar, people mainly worship the land god with meat sacrifices such as chicken, pork and fish.

Generally speaking, from February 2, the birthday of the local god, we began to make teeth, called head teeth, and December 16, called tail teeth. In ancient China, after making teeth, people always shared the meat that worshipped the land god, commonly known as "teeth are sparse".

Evolution of toothache sacrifice

The time of "having a rare tooth sacrifice" depends on the type of work. For example, after the first kiln or the second kiln is full of goods, the kiln owner asks the workers to cook a sumptuous meal. Because it takes a long time to build a house, a sumptuous meal is cooked every month on the second and sixteenth day of the second lunar month. The next day is usually invited by the owner; Sixteen was invited by the master after the leaders paid tribute to the "Gong Xian".

If all the houses are built, the landlord will invite masters and workers, which is called "launching rich food" After the Antang and the temple are completed, the temple owner will ask them to "finish the rich food". When chopping wood, a batch of trees will be cut, and the head and tail will be done. When preparing to go back down the mountain or to the river, the mountain owner or tree owner will cook a sumptuous meal, and so on.
