The origin of rainy solar terms 150 words.
Most of these traditional festivals were established by the ancients after observing the astronomical phenomena for the needs of agricultural development. However, different festivals have different origins in astronomical phenomena or calendars. Take the rain solar term and Lantern Festival as examples, one is a festival chosen according to the changing law of the year, and the other is a festival established according to the change of the moon.
During the Spring and Autumn Period, people added four solar terms, namely, beginning of spring, Changxia, beginning of autumn and beginning of winter, on the basis of vernal equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox and winter solstice, thus forming eight solar terms, namely, beginning of spring, Changxia, beginning of autumn and beginning of winter.
Therefore, later generations are called "four seasons and eight festivals". On the basis of the eight periods, people living in the Yellow River valley during the Qin and Han Dynasties were further divided into 24 periods: beginning of spring, Rainwater, Creeping, Equinox, Qingming, Grain Rain, Changxia, Xiaoman, Busy, Summer Solstice, Xiaoshu, Dashu, beginning of autumn, Chushu, Bailu, Autumnal Equinox, Cold Dew, First Frost, beginning of winter, Light Snow, Heavy Snow and Winter Solstice.
