Xuzhou folk custom composition

Give you some information about Xuzhou folk customs.

One of the most famous festivals in Xuzhou is the Fuyang Festival, which belongs to Xuzhou people themselves.

Xuzhou Fuyang Festival begins in the autumn season every year, that is, the first day of autumn, and lasts for one month. According to the solar terms of the lunar calendar, the third Geng day (nine days in a Geng day) from summer to the future is the "first lodging", the fourth Geng day is the "middle lodging", and the first Geng day after beginning of autumn is the "last lodging". In this month, Xuzhou people concentrated in hotels, restaurants, special mutton restaurants and barbecue stalls, eating mutton and drinking mutton soup, so it was called eating mutton.

The Edible Function of Fuyang

As we all know, eating mutton and drinking mutton soup is "sweating". Eating hot mutton in winter is the best, and Xuzhou people are determined to do the opposite. In the hottest dog days of the year, they eat mutton with red oil and many peppers, which is the spirit handed down from ancient people and has always been a battleground for military strategists.

Living custom in Xuzhou;

One-bedroom or four-bedroom apartment

Xuzhou traditionally pays attention to the "four rooms", that is, the east, west, south and north rooms are all available to form a yard. The north room with the south gate is the main room (also known as the "main room"), and a tunnel passes through the center of the south room from the main gate. Traditionally, when conditions are good, the yard is paved with stone slabs, sometimes connected from all doors to the courtyard door, only laid in the aisle, and some flowers and plants are planted on both sides of the aisle. In wealthy families, the floor is paved with square bricks, and the main house is dedicated to idols. If there is no ancestral hall, the ancestral hall is located in the wing. There is a square table, plush chair, bar and spring stool in the main room. Bedroom windows are bright and clean, boxes, baskets, cabinets and cupboards are listed, and sheets are neatly arranged. Four Treasures of the Study is located in the study. Antiques are put in the living room, and calligraphy and painting are hung.

Second, painting.

Most city residents live in the same compound. Generally, a family or two generations, or three or four generations live under the same roof (ranging from L-3 rooms), and there is no distinction between inside and outside. Cooking utensils and stoves are also in the house.

Generally speaking, there is not much difference between the styles of the above-mentioned houses, only from the perspective of area size and material. The first-class house is based on stone strips, and the blue brick wall, top beam, wood truss and rafters are all first-class wood, with small tiles on the roof. The second is the outer brick and inner blank of the house wall, commonly known as "cooked inside and exogenous", and the back of the roof tile is filled with mud, commonly known as "tile ridge". Since 1950s, the above-mentioned houses have changed from small blue tiles to large blue tiles or red tiles.

Three. Straw huts and sheds

Before liberation, there were many straw houses in Xuzhou urban and rural areas, and the earth walls were covered with red grass, wheat straw or small reeds. In addition to straw huts, there are straw huts and lime huts with worse living conditions, which are extremely low and made of mud covered outside the fence. Most of them are concentrated on the banks of the old Yellow River in Beiguan, Dongguan and Xuzhou, and most of the residents are coolies without overnight food. Every summer and rainy season, these settlements stink, sometimes causing epidemics from these places. After 1949, all the shacks were demolished. By the mid-1960s, the thatched cottage had finally disappeared. However, in rural areas, this change began after 1978.

Fourth, the mansion compound

The name of the official residence is the mansion or courtyard, with the surname as the front, such as Li (home) mansion and Xu (home) courtyard. The style of a mansion or compound is mostly three-entrance courtyard, and the more exquisite one, such as Li Erzhu Mansion, is three-entrance courtyard vertically and horizontally.

Each yard of the compound has a main room. The main room is higher than other rooms and is occupied by the owner. There are three rooms or five rooms. Pay attention to building corridors. If the corridor is not repaired, build a platform on the left and right walls, and cover it with a stone waist-high, commonly known as "handrail stone". Three rooms (rooms) are bright, two rooms are dark (left and right rooms are dark) and five rooms are open, so it is commonly known as "Sanming and Five Darkness". The main room is surrounded by supporting rooms, where children and daughters-in-law live. There are also living rooms, study rooms and storage rooms. People who have a garden often locate the garden behind the courtyard and set up a back door to communicate with the garden. In Sanjin Courtyard, if the "iron-shell gatehouse" is used at the head door, stone drums and gates must be set at the door. There are many servants living in the new house. The kitchen is on the left side of the hospital and the toilet is on the right side.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), luxury houses and quadrangles gradually became a number of miscellaneous hospitals.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) residential building

After the founding of New China, especially after the 1960s and 1970s, urban residential buildings gradually appeared, all of which were public buildings, but most of them were simple buildings with two or three floors, and many shared kitchens and bathrooms. Since the 1970s, residential floors have been stacked, with five or six storeys high. Each room has its own system, or one room and two rooms, or three or four rooms, with a hall, a kitchen and a bathroom. In the small streets where residents live together, many houses have been transformed into two-story buildings (or new simple two-story buildings) by residents themselves because of the shortage of housing.
