The engine fault light EPC is on, how to solve it?

The EPC fault light is always on, indicating that the engine management system or electronic control is out of order, which is often accompanied by unstable idle speed of the vehicle or engine cold start jitter. The solution is to clean the throttle, use qualified gasoline and check the brake switch and wiring.

EPC stands for engine electronic stability system. After the key door is opened, the vehicle starts self-inspection, and the EPC indicator light will light up for a few seconds and then go out. If the indicator lights up while driving, it means that the engine power electronic control system is out of order.

The engine must be checked immediately. Under normal circumstances, dirty throttle body, vacuum leakage of intake system, broken brake switch and untimely engine upgrade may all lead to EPC failure.

Nozzle blockage and carbon deposition in intake valve can also cause engine fault light alarm. Because there are impurities in gasoline, it will accumulate at the nozzle, which will affect the fuel injection of the nozzle, especially for the direct injection engine in the cylinder, which will directly lead to the engine flameout. However, carbon deposit will be produced after impurity combustion, which will affect the normal opening and closing of the throttle valve and the normal operation of the engine to a certain extent, leading to the lighting of the alarm lamp.
