When the engine is all right, the failure of the starter or battery will make it difficult to start the engine, or even impossible to start it. In this case, we should first understand the use of starter and battery, so as to roughly judge the fault location. The battery has been used for more than 1 year, mainly to check the technical condition; If the battery is used for a short time and the starter has not been overhauled for a long time, it should be checked from the starter.

Cause 1: When starting, only the starter electromagnetic switch makes noise, or when starting for the first time, the starter drives the crankshaft to rotate slowly for several times, and then the electromagnetic switch makes noise, but the crankshaft does not rotate. This phenomenon generally belongs to the battery "broken grid" fault.

Reason 2: Temporary parking can be started every time, but the crankshaft can only be turned when parking for a long time or starting the next day. This phenomenon belongs to the serious self-discharge of the battery, and the aging of its plates and separators is serious, indicating that the battery is close to scrapping.

Reason 3: When starting, the starter suddenly weakens, accompanied by the smell of burnt rubber or smoke from the battery, which is mostly caused by poor contact between the pole pile and the pole pile clamp.

Reason 4: If the driving gear of the starter collides with the flywheel gear ring of the engine when starting, there are two reasons: first, the meshing cut-in surface of the flywheel gear ring is deformed; Second, the gap between the starter drive gear and the flywheel gear ring is too large. The two can't mesh and the engine can't start.

Reason 5: As soon as the main power switch is turned on, the driving gear of the starter will mesh with the flywheel gear ring to rotate. First, the holding coil of the starter electromagnetic switch is connected to the wrong power supply terminal; Second, the three wires on the key switch are wrong. The judgment method is: when the key is in the "0" position, the starter drive gear does not rotate, and when it is in the "2" position, the starter drive gear meshes with the flywheel gear ring to rotate together.

Reason six. When the start switch is turned to the start position, the engine cannot be started, and there is no other phenomenon. This kind of fault, first, the key and switch are not connected to the starting circuit because of wear; Second, the starter relay is not connected to the starter electromagnetic switch circuit; Third, the power switch is not connected to the main circuit.

Reason 7: There is only a slight "click" sound when starting, and there is no response. It is the sound made by the starting relay. At this time, as long as the tail of the electromagnet is pressed to force the electromagnet to move forward, the starting circuit can be connected to start the engine.

There are other reasons that affect the starting of two-stroke gasoline engine:

1, poor cylinder compression (poor seal between piston, piston ring and cylinder liner)

2, ignition system failure (spark plug, high voltage line, magneto, ignition coil assembly failure, poor insulation leakage, etc. ), no ignition or low spark intensity.

3. Poor oil-gas mixing (inaccurate proportion of gasoline \ engine oil, failure of diaphragm carburetor),
