What does VVT engine mean?

VVT (Variable Valve Timing) is a technology used in automobile piston engine. VVT technology can adjust the overlapping time and timing of engine intake and exhaust system (part or all), reduce fuel consumption and improve efficiency.

The crankshaft drives the camshaft through a timing belt, gear or chain.
