What are the traditional customs in this solar term?

Among the 24 solar terms, sting is a very special festival. Its name sounds strange, but there are also some customs in this festival. In ancient times, people would hold a fragrance in their hands on frightened days, and wormwood would smoke the house at home to drive away snakes, insects, mice, ants and moldy smells. On the day of fright, people will sacrifice white tigers, eat pears, cover drums, beat villains and drive away bad luck.

First, sacrifice the white tiger.

The folklore of China. The white tiger especially likes to gossip and say that people are right and wrong, so it will come out for food and even eat people these days every year. If the white tiger is offended on this day, there will often be someone to obstruct his future within a year, and everything in life will not be smooth. Therefore, in order to protect themselves, everyone sacrificed to the white tiger on the day of shock, drew a small white tiger on paper, and fed the white tiger with the blood of the fat pig during the worship. After the white tiger is full, it will stop hurting people, and then put some oil on the mouth of the paper tiger with lard, so that the tiger can no longer open its mouth to tell others what is wrong.

When you are frightened, there is often thunder in the daytime or in the middle of the night, so the ancients imagined Thor as a bird's mouth with wings behind him, a hammer in one hand and a drum in the other, so it can rumble thunder. On the day of shock, there must be a thunder god beating drums in the sky, so everyone also took the opportunity to cover the drums at this time, saying that they should adapt to the weather and do things with half the effort.

Third, beating villains.

Sting usually occurs in February of the lunar calendar every year. On this day, the ground will suddenly thunder, and all hibernating snakes, insects, rats and ants will be awakened at this time. Many crawling insects and ants at home will also come out at this time and look for food everywhere. Therefore, on the day of electric shock, ancient people would hold wormwood in their hands and smoke it at home to drive away these moldy smells and snakes, insects, rats and ants. After a long time, they gradually become unhappy people, who will drive away bad luck and beat villains on this day.
