These six small paintings were created in six solar terms in the winter of 20 14. I once stayed in Niukouyu Reservoir for a while, where the winter was very quiet, with only some staff, seemingly depressed tourists and birds who could not return to the warm south for the winter.

The winter here has become more melancholy. A person walking in this "isolated" area will only hear a few birdsongs. The sound is very small, but it is very long. Just like hope, I believe that no matter how cruel the environment is, the seeds of hope will eventually sprout.

It may be the coldest before spring comes. Sometimes inadvertently recalling that time and recalling that loneliness always makes me feel precious. Time flies, it's another warm spring season in bloom, and the scenery there seems to have not changed. Maybe I'm still having that dream, that's where it started.
