What are the classifications of pulmonary nodules?
Solitary pulmonary nodules generally have no typical symptoms, usually a single soft tissue with clear boundary, high density and diameter less than 3cm.
Pulmonary nodules can be divided into:
Benign nodules, such as inflammation, tuberculosis, mold, pulmonary hemorrhage, etc. Benign nodules can be inflammatory pseudotumor, hamartoma, tuberculoma and fungal infection.
Malignant nodules can be primary lung cancer or metastatic lung cancer, and some benign lesions may become malignant after a long time.
For patients with pulmonary nodules, it is suggested to quit smoking, regularly monitor lung CT and closely observe the size and shape of pulmonary nodules. If any progress is found, go to a specialized hospital for further diagnosis and treatment, and directly perform bronchoscopy biopsy if necessary.
