Which solar term reflects the height of the sun?
The vernal equinox is one of the 24 solar terms and the fourth solar term in spring. The vernal equinox has two meanings: one is "equal season". Traditionally, spring is between beginning of spring and Changchun, but the vernal equinox is in the middle of the two solar terms, which just divides spring equally. Another meaning is "equal day and night". At the vernal equinox, the sun shines directly on the equator, and the length of day and night is equal, each being 12 hour. The climate of the vernal equinox is characterized by warm and sunny weather.
The vernal equinox is of great significance in astronomy. On this day, the sun shines directly on the equator, and the northern and southern hemispheres are equally divided day and night. After that, the direct position of the sun continued to move from the equator to the northern hemisphere, and the days in the northern hemisphere began to be longer than the nights. On the contrary, the climate characteristics in the southern hemisphere are obvious. After the vernal equinox, China has entered a beautiful spring except the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Northeast China, Northwest China and North China. At this time, people in China have been flying kites, eating spring vegetables and building houses.
Meteorological change
During the spring equinox, China has entered a beautiful spring scenery except the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Northeast China, Northwest China and North China. The average daily temperature in all parts of China is rising steadily above 0℃, except for the alpine mountain areas and the areas north of 45 N all the year round. At this time, the cold has passed and the temperature has risen rapidly, especially in North China and Huanghuai Plain. The daily average temperature has risen to above 10℃, and it entered sunny day almost at the same time as the rainy south of the Yangtze River.
During the spring equinox and solar terms, the East Asian trough is obviously weakened, and the trough ridge activity in the westerly belt is obviously enhanced. From Mongolia to the northeast of China, there are often low-pressure activities and cyclones. Low-pressure movement causes cold air to go south, and there is strong wind and cooling weather in the north. When the long wave trough moves eastward, affected by the intersection of cold and warm air masses, there will be continuous rainy and cold weather in late spring. After the vernal equinox, the south began to enter a period of frequent strong convective weather. As the weather gets warmer and the soil thaws, the dusty weather in the north also increases.
