EPC = electronic power control (full name of engine electronic stability system), which is also called electronic throttle by many people. EPC indicator lights are more common in the public. After the key door is opened, the vehicle starts self-inspection, and the EPC indicator light will light up for a few seconds and then go out. If the vehicle does not go out after starting, it means that the mechanical and electronic system of the vehicle has failed.

The main reasons for the failure of automobile EPC light;

The EPC fault light is always on, indicating that the engine management system or electronic control is out of order, which is often accompanied by unstable idle speed of the vehicle or engine jitter during cold start. But for domestic car owners, it is generally caused by domestic oil quality and dirty environment in the car. Drive to the maintenance service station as soon as possible for maintenance, and generally clean the throttle.

When the ignition switch is turned on for function check, the indicator EPC will light up. If this indicator lights up while driving, it indicates that the engine power electronic control system is out of order. The engine must be checked immediately. Under normal circumstances, dirty throttle body, vacuum leakage of intake system, broken brake switch and untimely engine upgrade may all lead to EPC failure.

There are two possibilities for EPC light to be on. First, the throttle is dirty and needs cleaning. In another case, the brake lights don't work. Replace the light bulb or check the brake switch and wiring. Also, due to the oil problem, the EPC fault light will also light up.
