Where do geese nest?

Goose nests are built in the near-water environment with overgrown water plants, in the wilderness, rivers, lakes, swamps and so on.

Wild geese are omnivorous waterfowl with strong adaptability. They often inhabit waterside or marshland with overgrown water plants, and feed on some non-toxic and tasteless weeds, grasses, cereals, snails and shrimps. Sometimes I wander in the lake and like to mate in the water.

In spring 10 ~ 20 birds move together, and in winter, hundreds of birds feed and live together. When staying at home, there are geese on the alert. When they find something unusual, they scream loudly and run away in droves. When living in groups, the rank order is determined by the struggle, and the Prince Goose has the priority to eat and mate.

Distribution

Distributed in North America, including the United States, Canada, Greenland, Bermuda, Saint Pierre and Miquelon Islands, and the transitional zone between North America and Central America in Mexico. Eurasia and North Africa, including the whole of Europe, Africa north of the Tropic of Cancer, Arabia and Asia north of the Himalayas-Hengduan Mountains-Minshan Mountains-Qinling Mountains-Huaihe River.
