The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival is a five-character poem written by Fan Chengda, a poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, on his way to Huizhou. The first four sentences of the poem are narrated all the way: the mountain breeze and drizzle burn the willow, but no one is seen. The last four sentences are written that grave sweepers are scattered in the cemetery, leaving only inanimate things such as stone horses and kites as companions.

Only crows are foraging around, suggesting the loneliness of the dead buried underground.
