1, seedling field. This is a traditional Miao festival. Popular in Xuyong and Gu Lin. It is held twice a year on February 13 and July 3 of the lunar calendar. According to legend, the origin of Miaochang was formed by the Miao people after an uprising failed. The government won't let them be together. People secretly contacted each other in the name of playing Lusheng on the dam, and later it gradually evolved into a fixed festival.
2. Gift Festival. Popular in Dongxia, xuyong county. It is held on the fifth day of the second lunar month every year. At that time, dozens of young men and women in Fiona Fang. If both parties like it, they can send ribbons to each other as engagement gifts. Those who repent afterwards can claim back their belts and dissolve the relationship.
3. Sheep and Horse Festival. It is popular in Longchi and Shidi in Xiushan County. It is held every year from April 26th to 28th of the lunar calendar. At that time, people will kill pigs and sheep, treat guests and give gifts, and celebrate festivals grandly.
4. Catch up with the autumn festival. As for the origin of this festival, it is said that a clever young man in ancient times, looking for a beloved girl for the people, changed a swing for one person into a swing for eight people, and people from far and near came to swing. On the swing, he finally found his beloved girl. Since then, people get together to play on the swing every autumn. Year after year, it becomes catching up with autumn.
5, eat a new festival. In the harvest season, find a field where rice grows best, and everyone will celebrate the "Eating New Festival" here. According to legend, in ancient times, there was no millet on the earth, so people had to hunt for a living. In order to get millet seeds, Miao ancestors told Lao to take 9999 kinds of rare birds and animals to Suguo to get nine bowls of millet seeds with nine buckets and nine liters, and put them in the warehouse for sowing in the next spring.
6, jump incense. Fragrant sticks are popular in Jishou, Guzhang, Luxi and Yuanling. When it is held, it is mainly about dancing and other recreational activities.
7. Fishing Festival. Fishing Festival is a Miao festival on both sides of Tumu and Nanming River in central Guizhou. Du Mu originated in Wuyunshan, flowed to the junction of Yuri and Fulai in Guizhou, merged into Nanming River, and then flowed northward into Wujiang River. At first, when water was needed for sowing and transplanting seedlings, Miao people prayed for rain by the river, but after a long time, it gradually evolved into a fishing festival.
8. Year of Miao. Miao Year, called "Neng Niang" in Miao language, is the most solemn traditional festival of Miao nationality. The date of celebrating the Year of Miao is not uniform in different places. Among the Miao people in Rongshui, November 30th of the lunar calendar is New Year's Eve and the next day is New Year's Day.

10, Sister Meal Festival. It is a typical "Oriental Valentine's Day", full of warm and romantic colors. This is an annual festival of Shidong and Gedong Miao people in Taijiang County. March 15 in Shidong area and February 15 in Ge Dong area.
