If Bohai Bay is gone, what impact will it have on our eastern climate?

The eastern part of Bohai Bay includes Northeast China and Shandong. The climate in northeast China is dominated by temperate monsoon with four distinct seasons. Precipitation is mainly concentrated in July-August. During the same period of rain and heat, the Pacific subtropical high moves northward to the northernmost position every summer, that is, about 30 north latitude. The southerly wind brought a large amount of water vapor from the Pacific Ocean to the northeast of China, bringing abundant precipitation. The Yellow Sea, the Bohai Sea and the Sea of Japan, where the summer monsoon passes, play a role in warming and humidifying.

Because the Bohai Sea goes deep inland, compared with the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan, it plays a very small role and has little influence on the summer precipitation in Northeast China. In winter, the northeast is controlled by the cold northwest monsoon, and the snowfall is not much. These water vapor sources are related to the cold wave path.

From the east road to the south, cold air passes through the Arctic Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan and other places, which will bring heavy snow to the northeast. It has little to do with Bohai Sea. Winter in Shandong will be influenced by Bohai Bay. After all, the northwest monsoon passes through the Bohai Sea, which plays a role in warming and humidifying, and its influence on the climate is higher than that in the northeast, but it is not obvious.

On the whole, because the Bohai Sea is too small, its impact on the climate in the eastern region is very limited. If the Bohai Sea disappears, the impact on Beijing and Tianjin cannot be ignored. After all, it's the advantage to get the moon first, and the Bohai Sea still has a regulating effect on the air humidity in Beijing, Tianjin and the northern region. Without it, Beijing, Tianjin and the northern region will become drier in winter and spring, and the air will be drier. If the Yellow Sea or the Sea of Japan disappears, the northeast will become inland, which will have a great impact on the climate in the northeast and Shandong. After all, the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan are all there.
