The direct point of the sun moves between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Cancer. At the vernal equinox, the direct point of the sun is located at the equator, and then moves north. The direct point of the sun on the summer solstice is located in the Tropic of Cancer, and then moves south. At the autumnal equinox, the direct point of the sun is located at the equator and then moves south. On the winter solstice, the direct point of the sun is located in the tropic of Capricorn, then moves north and returns to the equator at the vernal equinox of the following year.
