What is a car seat airbag?

Automobile seat airbag is a kind of side passive safety protection device, which is generally used to protect hip joint and thigh.

When the vehicle is hit by a side impact and reaches a certain acceleration threshold, it can be deployed within tens of milliseconds, which can protect the hip joint and thigh of the occupant from or less injury.

It is one of the components of passive safety restraint system. Other parts include driver and co-pilot front airbags, driver and co-pilot head side airbags, etc.
