Who is Wen?

During the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, there was a man named Wen in Suzhou who was proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. When I was a child, a fortune teller said that he would be rich in the future.

Wen is knowledgeable, but he is arrogant and poor at management, and squanders the family property left by his ancestors. Seeing that life was difficult to maintain, Wen became anxious and tried to do some business, but he always lost money. Finally, he was called "unlucky ghost". Fortunately, Xu has a calm mind and laughs all day, so his friends like him. On this day, on a whim, Wen followed dozens of businessmen to Nanyang by sea. Before he left, he spent a silver or two and bought a hundred Jin of oranges, which was called "Dongting Red". People on board laughed at him, and he was so ashamed that he hid the orange under the deck and never dared to mention it again. The ship sailed for four or five days, and when it arrived in Luzon, everyone went ashore to trade. Text came to join in the fun. He has only a little change on him, and everyone else is doing business. It's boring for him to watch the boat alone. Suddenly, he remembered the 100 Jin of oranges, so he opened the deck, moved them out and hung them on the deck to dry. This "Dongting Red" red is bright and dazzling. Although it is a "staple food" in China, those aborigines have never seen it, so it's strange to look around at once. Wen Xure picked a few handfuls and ate them with relish. Someone came forward to ask about the price and wanted to buy "Dongting Red". These people have been dealing with China businessmen for a long time and know Chinese, but Wen can't understand what they are saying, so he just sticks up a finger. The native smiled and said, "It's a silver coin. The silver coins here have the same weight, but the patterns cast on them are different: the dragon and phoenix patterns are the most valuable, followed by people, animals, trees and aquatic plants-these are also used much more. Everyone took out silver coins and rushed to buy "Dongting Red". Because most people use silver coins with grass patterns, and occasionally take out dragon and phoenix patterns, Wen Xuruo dared not accept them and had to change them. Soon, the oranges were sold out, and Wen got a thousand silver coins and made a small fortune. When the merchants returned to the ship and heard about it, they were envious one by one. On the way home, the ship was caught in a strong wind and was forced to dock on a desert island. Businessmen are too lazy to move and hide in the cabin to have a rest. Wen traveled alone on the island, walking through rocks and grasslands, touching the scenery and feeling sad all the way. Walking, he found a turtle shell the size of a bed. Wen Xu Ruo was very surprised: "There is such a big turtle in the world! I came to Nanyang and didn't buy anything decent. I happened to bring it back and let my hometown people open their eyes. " He took off two long socks, put them on the turtle shell and dragged them back to the boat in a few steps. Those businessmen were surprised to see such a big turtle shell, but they made fun of Wen instead. The next day, the strong wind stopped and the ship continued to sail back. A few days later, it docked in Fujian. They went ashore and entered a hotel run by Persians. This Persian, called Mabuha, specializes in exchanging treasures with sea merchants and is rich. He has been a business partner of these businessmen for many years. According to the rules, after the businessmen entered the room, Mabuha gave a banquet to entertain them. Interestingly, Persians, regardless of age, only look at the value of goods on the merchant's list. Wen didn't have any goods at all. He was the only one who didn't know Ma Baoha, so he was naturally arranged in the bottom seat, and no one took a reason. Early the next morning, Ma Baoha went to the port to pay a return visit to this group of businessmen. She saw the big turtle shell at a glance and asked in surprise, "whose treasure is this?" "Why didn't anyone mention it yesterday? This is not for sale! " Everyone pointed to Wen and said humorously, "This is his' baby', and I picked up half of it!" Ma Baoha changed his face: "I have been friends with you for many years. Why do you play tricks on me like this?" Let me offend my new friend, I actually arranged him to sit at the bottom yesterday! "He grabbed the article and had to treat him again. This time, Ma Baoha threw himself on the chair and arranged Wen's seat, saying, "The goods on that ship are not as good as your treasure. I lost my respect yesterday!" "Wen doesn't know what medicine is sold in Ma Bao's gourd, so he sits in fear and trembling, thinking, how valuable can that turtle shell be? Halfway through the drink, Ma Baoha stood up, bowed to Wen and asked if the turtle shell was for sale. Clever Wen Shunkou replied: "If there is a good price, of course I will sell it." Ma Bao was overjoyed and quickly settled the price. Wen's friend Ambassador Zhang winked at Xu and held out three fingers, meaning "30,000". Wen Xu Ruo shook his head, put up a finger and said, "I dare not even say this price (120 taels of silver)!" Ma Baoha saw the two gesticulating and said with a smile, "How much is it?" Zhang Da said, "Mr. Wen seems to want 1 10,000! Ma Bao laughed: "Are you kidding? You probably don't want to sell it, do you How can this baby be so cheap! " Now, even Zhang, who is known as "Zhang knows the goods", is dumbfounded! After several negotiations, Wen finally asked for fifty-two thousand pieces of silver, and Zhang Daizuo was the guarantor. The two sides signed a contract: Suzhou guest Xu brought a big turtle shell from overseas and put it in Dr. Ma Bao's shop. He is willing to pay 52000 silver for it. Agreement: After the deed is signed, one party will deliver the goods and the other party will pay the bank, and all parties have no regrets. If you go back on your word, the penalty contract will be increased by one. This contract is hereby witnessed. After the transaction was completed, Ma Baoha immediately gave 1200 two pieces of silver, a dozen strings of beads and a box of silks and satins to other businessmen. Everyone was surprised! At the unanimous request of everyone, Ma Baoha told the details of the big turtle shell: According to folklore, the dragon gave birth to nine children, one of whom was Quirrell (also called Quirrell or Dragon Turtle), whose skin and drum can spread hundreds of miles away. If the dragon grows to 10,000 years old, it can change from a shell into a dragon. This shell has twenty-four edges, corresponding to twenty-four solar terms, and a big bead is born in the middle of each edge. When the dragon didn't grow up, it couldn't get rid of its shell and ribs, so it had to play drums with leather and curtains. The shell of the dragon is worthless, but those beads are luminous and priceless. The tortoise shell brought by Wen is huge in shape, with 24 ribs intact. Obviously, it was picked after being transformed into Jackie Chan. The 24 night pearls hidden in the ribs are worth more than1222,000 silver. No one knows when the giant salamander grew up and where it broke its shell. Therefore, finding this big turtle shell is really a gift for Wen! After Mabuha's introduction, she improvised and took out a luminous pearl about an inch, put it in a black lacquer plate and took it to the dark. I saw the night pearl rolling around and flashing for more than a foot! Everyone was dumbfounded, but both sides made written evidence, and no one could raise any objection. Wen Xuruo also distributed his 1000 silver coins to all people to show his gratitude. Someone told Wen that if you use this Persian, you have to try to get more points from him! Wen Xure smiled and said, "You can't be satisfied! I am a unlucky ghost, I should thank him for getting such a large fortune unexpectedly, otherwise that big turtle shell is just a waste! "
