What season are swallows nesting?
Swallows usually nest in spring and start in March every year. From mid-June 5438+ 10 to the end of June 165438+ 10, swallows will migrate to a warm place for the winter and come back next spring according to the regional temperature. If the nest built last year is still well preserved, swallows will continue to use it. If the nest is occupied by other birds, or if there is no nest, the swallow will have to choose a suitable place to nest again.
Nesting is what swallows do every spring. The first requirement for swallows to nest is safety, and then comfort is considered. Swallows generally choose to nest under the eaves of farmers or in the corners of houses. Swallows use saliva to bond soil and grass stems, and build nests with soft weeds, feathers, rags, etc. The bird's nest is dish-shaped.
Swallows can breed 2 nests every year, mostly from May to early June and early July. Each nest lays 4-6 eggs, and the second nest lays about 2-5 eggs. The eggs are milky white, and the males and females hatch together. Chickens can hatch in about 14- 15 days, and fly out in 20 days, and then feed them for 5-5 days.
