Where are the respiratory organs of locusts?
On both sides of the first section of the abdomen of locusts, there are a pair of half-moon membranes, which are the auditory organs of locusts. A row of small holes arranged neatly on the left and right sides is the valve. Each valve is connected to the trachea inward, and the trachea keeps branching, and finally the tiny branches communicate with each cell for gas exchange.
Locust is a common insect, belonging to Orthoptera and Acridoidea. They usually live in grasslands, fields, forests and wilderness. Grasshoppers mainly feed on plants.

Locusts are also social insects and live in groups. They will transmit information through tentacles and vibrations and coordinate the actions of groups. When locusts feel threatened, they will warn people by flapping their wings and making noises.
Besides being a link in the food chain, locusts have some economic value. In some areas, locusts are used as food, especially in Asian countries. Locusts also have some medicinal value, which can be used to treat some diseases, such as infantile convulsion.
