There is a special situation, that is, only one side is used to save gas, that is, you do not turn off the fire after cooking the same ingredient first, and continue to cook the next dish with this burner. The reason is that if you cook with two burners on both sides, both burners will go through a process of heating from cold to hot, and part of the heat in this process will be absorbed by the burners instead of the pot. If you cook twice, that is, the burner has to be heated twice, and you cook the next food with a burner without turning off the fire, then the burner doesn't need to absorb heat again, which is saved, but this solar term is extremely limited and can be ignored.
