Types of pneumatic cylinders

According to the common cylinder structure, it can be divided into four types: (1) plunger cylinder is a single-acting cylinder, which can only move in one direction by air pressure, and the return of plunger depends on other external forces or its own weight;

(2) The plunger is only supported by the cylinder liner, which is not in contact with it, and the cylinder liner is easy to process and suitable for long-stroke cylinders;

(3) When working, the plunger is always under pressure, so it must have sufficient rigidity;

(4) Plunger is often heavy, and it is easy to sag due to its own weight when placed horizontally, resulting in unilateral wear of seal and guide, so its vertical use is more favorable. Swing cylinder is an executive element that outputs torque and realizes reciprocating motion, also known as swing pneumatic motor. There are single-edged and double-edged forms. The stator block is fixed on the cylinder block, while the blades and the rotor are connected together. According to the oil inlet direction, the blades will drive the rotor to swing back and forth.
