Throttle, a controllable valve, is used to control air to enter the engine, which can be said to be the "throat" of the engine.

After the air enters the intake pipe through the throttle, it will be mixed with gasoline to form a combustible mixture, thus playing the role of combustion and work.

Then, when we step on/release the accelerator pedal deeply, the system will control the opening of the throttle valve, thus determining the intake air volume of the mixture (affecting the size and fit of the engine power).
