The electronically controlled gasoline generator is an intelligent control engine equipped with a computer, sensors and actuators. These devices constitute an electronically controlled gasoline engine, so it is difficult to distinguish where there are devices and where there are no devices.

It can accurately control the air-fuel ratio, make the combustion full, and significantly reduce the exhaust pollution. At the same time, due to the enhanced working stability of the engine, the noise is reduced.

Its sensors collect rapidly changing signals such as intake air volume, engine load, water temperature and intake air temperature, and input them into the computer. The computer calculates the timely and appropriate gasoline quantity and the optimal ignition advance angle, and outputs control signals to the fuel injection valve and igniter, so that the engine can obtain the best performance under various working conditions.

EFI engine can be divided into multi-point injection and single-point injection according to the number of injectors. Each cylinder of the engine has a fuel injector, abbreviated as MPI in English, which is called multi-point injection. Several cylinders of the engine use a fuel injector, abbreviated as SPI, which is called single point injection.

There are great differences between EFI engine and carburetor engine, and their operation methods are also very different. When the EFI engine is started (including cold start), it is generally unnecessary to increase the throttle.

Because the EFI engine has the functions of cold start and enrichment, automatic cold start and fast idle, the engine can be started smoothly whether it is cold or hot. Before and during the engine start-up, it is ineffective to repeatedly and quickly twist the throttle to increase fuel injection like starting a carburetor engine.
