1) New Year's Day

1 month/day 1 day, before New Year's Eve, we should do a general cleaning, hang straw ropes at the door, insert oranges, and place relaxation, bamboo and plum in front of the door for good luck. On New Year's Eve, the whole family get together for dinner and listen to the "New Year's Eve bell" at midnight. Eat rice cake soup on New Year's Day morning.

2) Adult Festival

The second Monday in January celebrates the independence of young men and women who have reached the age of 20.

3) National Day

March 2 1 day or so-sweeping graves to worship ancestors.

5) Showa Day-Constitutional Remembrance Day

May 3rd-Constitution Day. May 4th-National Day of Rest.

6) Children's Day

May 5th-Celebrate children's growth and pray for happiness. The boy's family hung carp flags with high poles and placed samurai dolls outdoors.

7) Ocean Festival

The third Monday in July-Thank you for the grace from the ocean and pray to become a prosperous maritime country. 8) Respect for the Elderly Day

September 15-Respect and thank the elderly. 9) autumnal equinox

10) Sports Festival

/kloc-the second Monday in October-commemorating the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games held in Tokyo in 1964.

1 1 3rd of the month-to commemorate the birthday of Emperor Meiji. Advocate the social principle of loving freedom and equality and promote cultural undertakings.

12) Thanksgiving Day

1 1 23rd of the month-it's the harvest season, to express gratitude for the harvest, in order to thank the labor.
