The chart inserted in the WPS table wants to show the year on the horizontal axis, because the table will treat the numbers as data and appear in the chart. The year can be displayed on the horizontal axis by formatting the relevant year as text and then inserting a chart.

The method comprises the following steps:

1. Open the WPS table to be operated, select the relevant year cell, and press Ctrl+ 1 to open the Format Cell.

2. In the Numbers tab, click Text on the left, and then click OK.

3. Delete the original chart, then select the year and related data area, and click the corresponding chart in the Insert tab to insert it again.

4. Return to the WPS table and find that the chart inserted in the WPS table shows the year on the horizontal axis.
