Abstract: With the development of society and the progress of human science and technology, people know time by observing the sun's rotation, hourglass, pendulum clock and electronic clock. The appearance of electronic clock makes it easier for people to know the time in the process of development. Compared with the traditional mechanical clock, it has the advantages of accurate time, intuitive display and no mechanical transmission device, and is widely used in people's daily life. In life. However, some common electronic clocks on the market have a single function, and there are no functions such as time calibration, alarm clock, lunar calendar and solar calendar. These functions can't meet the needs of our life and work under certain conditions. Therefore, it is an urgent problem to develop a multifunctional clock that meets the above requirements and has high cost performance. This paper aims at the shortcomings of some common electronic clocks in the market, such as single function, insufficient time calibration, insufficient display function of yin and yang calendars and solar terms. A multifunctional electronic clock based on STC single chip microcomputer is designed and developed. The hardware circuit and software design of the system are introduced. It can not only realize the basic information of year, month, day, week, hour, minute and second, but also display the solar calendar, solar terms, lunar calendar and other information. It has the functions of birthday setting, time calibration, alarm clock setting reminder and so on. The physical equipment test shows that the clock has the advantages of high precision, multi-function, stable operation and simple circuit.
